Ecuador Tourism Ministry to Launch Agent Training Program

The Ministry of Tourism for Ecuador will launch “Ecuador Specialist,” a travel agent education and training course, on June 3. The new training program, created in partnership with travAlliance Media, will launch next month following the recent completion of a series of “Discover Ecuador” seminars that visited 450 travel agents in nine major North American cities in May.

Featuring tourism ministry officials and leading tourism companies from across Ecuador, the seminars mirror the agent training program by providing travel agents with detailed information on the country’s four  core travel regions - a diverse offering including the Galapagos Islands, the Pacific Coast, the Andes mountain range and the Amazon rainforest. Seminars were held in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Vancouver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington D.C. and New York.
