Excelencias Magazine: 20 Years of Commitment and Quality (Photo Gallery)

A publication like the Excelencias magazine not only seeks to be interesting and luring, but also useful. That’s why the launch of its latest issue turned out to be an opportunity to contact and share views with businesspeople attending FIHAV, who actually swarmed over the EGREM tent at the Expocuba Fairgrounds as a token of the quality and hard work behind a magazine that’s been around in Cuba over the past twenty years.

“All of you are friends of Excelencias’, but we want you to be friends among all of you,” said Excelencias Group President Jose Carlos de Santiago during his keynote speech.

The main course of the morning session was the master lecture delivered by Prof. Jose Luis Perello Cabrera, who broached the possible impact of the thaw in the U.S.-Cuba relations for the island nation’s tourism industry and economy.

“There are no walls or barb-wire fences between us, just clear water borders that welcome visitors with pleasure,” Prof. Perello said as he stated that time is ripe to found the Caribbean Zone -comprising 40 percent of the world’s total tourism capacity- through a comprehensive and multimodal multidestination option.

As token of strong commitment to and friendly working relations with the Excelencias Group in Cuba, the company’s stand at FIHAV was visited by Ileana Nuñez Mordoche, deputy minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, who talked with Mr. de Santiago, who’s also the ambassador of the Iberian American Gastronomy Academy.
