First Choice to Add More Aruba-Bound Flights in May 2007

Manchester holidaymakers have a new Caribbean destination on their doorstep thanks to tour operator First Choice starting a direct charter service to Aruba from next year.

Aruba Tourism Authority and First Choice announced an additional flight to Aruba from the UK starting on May 8 through October 23, 2007 from Manchester International Airport.

The charter flight from First Choice will be a nonstop leg of approximately nine hours and 45 minutes.

These new flights operating from Manchester are a continuation of the successful charter flights by First Choice from the London Gatwick Airport.

“Over the past few years there has been a sharp rise in the demand for holidays to the Caribbean in the Manchester area,” said Humphrey Vrolijk, Area Director for Europe for the Aruba Tourism Authority commented.

First Choice offers a choice of six hotels, Holiday Inn Sun Spree Aruba, La Cabana All Suite Resort, Tamarijn Aruba Beach Resort, including the four-star, recently refurbished, all-inclusive Occidental Grand Aruba located on Palm Beach.
