Gate 1 Travel Introduces Alaska, Iceland & Tunisia

Gate 1 Travel kicked off its 2009 travel season with the debut of three new destinations: Alaska, Iceland and Tunisia. All three tours offer a small-group experience, with a maximum of 20 people per departure.

Eight-Day Alaskan Adventure gives one night in Anchorage, 2 nights in Denali National Park, one night in Palmer, and three nights in Girdwood. Highlights include a scenic train ride to Denali aboard the Alaskan Railroad, an in-depth visit to Denali National Park, the opportunity to meet with local Eskimos and Athabaskan Indians, and an aerial tramway ride to Alyeska Resort’s 2,300-foot observation deck.

Eight-Day Iceland Adventure provides the opportunity to visit Skaftafell National Park, take a boat tour of Jökulsarlon glacial lagoon, enjoy a full-day excursion to Snaefellsnes peninsula, and make an extended visit to the Blue Lagoon. Optional tours include a Glacier Snowmobile Tour.

Eleven-Day Tunisia features stays in Tunis, Tabarka, Tozeur, Djerba, Sousse and Hammamet and highlights include visits to the ancient ruins of Carthage, the Bardo and Dar Cherait Museums, and the island of Djerba. Optional tours include an excursion via camelback.
