HAL to Beef Up Presence in Caribbean in 2008-2009 Season
Holland America Line will have its largest presence ever in the Caribbean in the 2008-2009 season, buoyed by the addition of its upcoming vessel, the 2,104-passenger Eurodam, which will launch service there in late 2008.
The Eurodam will sail three- and seven-day eastern Caribbean itineraries as one of 10 HAL ships in the region through April, 2009. The line will offer 189 sailings in all, from Fort Lauderdale, Tampa and New York.
Also in 2008, HAL will launch its first full season of a southern Caribbean itinerary that was tested –and proven popular- this past January. The seven-day, roundtrip sailing from Fort Lauderdale will visit Aruba, Curacao and the line’s private island of Half Moon Cay, Bahamas.
