The mountainous areas in the Cambita community, in the Dominican Republic, are turning into a veritably attractive tourism zone for residents in nearby Santo Domingo and an option for people looking into alternatives to the congested and complicated living standards of the country’s capital city.

This is a growing trend among urban residents in Santo Domingo, who seek a second ‘quieter’ home to escape from tensions generated by the city, while avoiding expensive and distant residential areas in the tourism beach regions.

The zone already established its first gourmet restaurant and is a good sign for the years to come.

The tourism and residential project Quintas de Cambita was recently described as the first residential and tourism plan in the zone that offers vacation villas or permanent residences to individuals seeking a place in proximity to the capital city, but void of noises and pollution.
