India Grants Visa on Arrival to Canadian Citizens

Canadians to be granted visa on arrival (VoA), announced the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his visit to Canada.

The Canadian Prime Minister expressed his delight with the decision to issue visa on arrival (VoA) for Canadians visiting India. It will be easier for them to visit India, he said.

A special friendship exists between Canada and India and this is the first step at consolidating the relationship felt the Canadian premiere. Canada hopes to strengthen greater trade ties with India by investing more in the country.

Canadians visiting India would get a 10-year visa, said the Indian Prime Minister. He said India’s visa policy would support greater engagement and people-to-people contacts between India and Canada. PM Modi is the first prime minister on a bilateral visit to Canada in 42 years.
