KLM Launches New Amsterdam-Miami Service

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is planning to debut four-times-a-week round-trip service between Miami International Airport and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport starting at the beginning of the summer schedule on March 27, 2011. This re-launches KLM’s nonstop service to Miami that was suspended in September 2004. KLM will operate this service using MD-11 equipment. With Miami, KLM is adding another destination to the joint venture between Air France, KLM, Delta Air Lines and Alitalia.

Miami is the 20th destination in North America which is served by KLM and Delta directly from Amsterdam. With more than 250 daily transatlantic flights and a fleet of 135 aircraft, this joint venture offers its passengers a generous network with higher frequencies, attractive prices and comprehensively tailored schedules for transatlantic travel.
