Lufthansa canceled 128 flights on Thursday, including 28 long-haul flights, as a strike by the airline’s technical and catering workers entered its fourth day. The 28 canceled long-hauls include flights to New York, Washington, Atlanta and Calgary.

Lufthansa said it was rebooking affected passengers on other Lufthansa flights or on partner airlines, according to a CNN report.

Lufthansa blamed the cancellations on aircraft that had to be grounded because technical staff were on strike and unable to do required airplane checks. About 5,000 of Lufthansa’s ground staff are on strike because of a pay dispute.

The German carrier canceled eight international flights and 70 domestic flights on Wednesday, the first day the strike affected intercontinental operations.
