Lufthansa Drives Bookings Online

Two new functions have been added to www.lufthansa.com in a bid to make the site more convenient and attractive. From now on, tickets can also be booked for other passengers even if the person booking is not flying on the same flight.

During the online booking process, passengers can also choose and reserve their preferred seat easily and directly on their own computer.

Tickets for other passengers can now be booked at www.lufthansa.com, even if the buyer is not herself or himself flying on the same flight. The only requirement: The booking customer is a member of Miles & More, has entered a personal profile under “My Account” and has a credit card.

On completion of the booking, both the person booking and the passenger on the flight will each receive confirmation by email. For identification purposes, the passengers can use any credit card made out in their own name.

In future, passengers can choose their seat easily and directly on their computer. When booking online at www.lufthansa.com, they must simply open the interactive seating plan and click their preferred seat. The seat plan number is noted in the booking and will automatically be assigned to the passenger on check-in.

This new free service is available to all classes on long-haul routes and to passengers on Business-Class flights within Germany and Europe. For seat reservations, the online booking must be made no later than 24 hours before the flight.
