Due to client demand, Lufthansa says it will, on October 26, launch all-business class service six times per week between Boston and Munich. The route will be served with an Airbus A319 Corporate Jet operated by PrivateAir in a 48-seat, all-business class configuration.

The new flight is a premium extension of Lufthansa’s existing wide-body summer service between Boston and Munich, which daily offers 221 seats in a three-class configuration. It also complements the existing daily service between Boston and Frankfurt and the daily SWISS flight between Boston and Zurich.

Flight LH 425 will depart Boston at 8:15 pm and arrive in Munich at 9:45 a.m. the next morning. The return flight, LH 424, will depart Munich at 3:40 p.m. and arrive in Boston at 6:35 p.m. every day except Tuesdays.

Separately, Lufthansa is already issuing only electronic tickets, as well as for flights operated by all other IATA airlines. Lufthansa passengers are now issued with an electronic ticket, or an “etix,” which can be used for checking online and printing out boarding passes at home or at the airport terminal.
