MSC Cruises Announces Lineup for Latin Theme Voyages
The MSC Poesia will feature Carlos Oliva and Los Sobrinos del Juez during its Jan. 23, seven-night Latin Music Cruise. Oliva is credited as being the founder of the musical movement developed by the fusion of rock, jazz, samba, son, guaracha and other Cuban rhythms, known today as the “Miami Sound.”
He worked with the band “Miami Sound Machine,” co-producing with Emilio Estefan, and has continued to produce and record music. Guests can take Salsa dance lessons and view live performances.
The “Eastern Caribbean Enchantment” itinerary for this cruise calls at San Juan, St. Maarten, Tortola and Nassau. Rates begin at $549 per person, double occupancy; government fees and taxes are additional. As on all MSC Cruises’ sailings, kids ages 17 and younger sail free when sharing a stateroom with two full-fare-paying adults.
