MSC Poesia Offers Short Caribbean Escapes from $239

MSC Cruises is offering several three- and five-night Caribbean cruises aboard the MSC Poesia as the ship sails its inaugural season in North American waters (roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale) during the 2009-2010 season.

The five-night Caribbean Escape calls at Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and Georgetown, Grand Cayman, with two days at sea, departing Nov. 10 and Nov. 15 with rates from $399 per person, double.

The five-night Mayan Discovery calls at Belize City, Belize, and Costa Maya, Mexico, with two sea days, departing Jan. 3, 2010, from $399. And the three-night Tropical Getaway calls at Nassau, Bahamas, and Key West, Fla., departing April 24, 2010, from $239. Government fees and taxes are additional.

As on all MSC Cruises’ sailings, children ages 17 and younger sail free when sharing a stateroom with two full-fare-paying adults. The MSC Poesia’s season will also include a variety of seven- and 10-night itineraries, as well as Christmas and New Year’s sailings.
