After Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) announced that its fuel supplement will not apply to bookings made on or after November 10 for sailings that depart on or after January 1, 2010, the cruise line is now announcing that it is suspending its fuel supplement effective immediately for all voyages departing in 2009.

Refunds will be provided through an on-board credit for all 2009 bookings within the final payment period and all 2009 bookings outside of the final payment period will be readjusted with the fuel supplement removed and final payment revised.

NCL will continue to monitor global fuel prices to determine whether the fuel supplement will be reimplemented in the future. It reserves the right to reinstate the fuel supplement if the price of light sweet crude oil increases above $65 per barrel.
