New Partnership Agreement Strengthens Hospitality Ties between Jamaica and Canada
Caribbean-based Island Routes Caribbean Adventures has announced an exclusive partnership with Canada’s leading tour operator, Air Canada Vacations, to offer destination management support in Jamaica.
The agreement was made after a successful tender process that sees Island Routes offer destination management services and will now provide Air Canada Vacations with an extensive range of receptive services including ground transportation services at-destination, support to guest services for Canadian guests in Jamaica and in-destination tours and excursion services.
Island Routes general manager David Shields commented, “This is a major milestone in this company’s relatively short but exciting history and signals our intent to continue on this path of explosive growth within the Caribbean region.”
“We understand the needs and high expectations of Air Canada Vacations and share their ethos of providing our clients with the best experience possible, and with our award-winning local knowledge and infrastructure we’ll do just that.”
“Air Canada Vacations, in partnership with Air Canada rouge, are signaling continued growth to the island with new routes to Montego Bay soon to be announced,” said Eamonn Ferrin, president and COO of Air Canada Vacations. “With over 40 properties offered through Air Canada Vacations to this popular destination, and with the recent flight to Kingston providing shorter transfer times to Sandals Royal Plantation, Ocho Rios, and other exciting properties, our product will continue to grow in value and in service to Jamaica and throughout the Caribbean in the coming years. We are pleased to begin this exclusive relationship with Island Routes Caribbean Adventures.”
After launching in 2009, Island Routes took the travel industry by storm winning the prestigious Six Star Diamond Award and being named World’s Leading Caribbean Attraction Company in its first year before forging a reputation for bringing together the best excursions in the Caribbean and highlighting what is unique and beautiful within the region. Island Routes currently operates in Jamaica, St Lucia, Antigua, Turks and Caicos, Great Exuma and Nassau in The Bahamas, Grenada, Barbados, Dominican Republic, Aruba, St Maarten and the Cayman Islands.
