Orion Expeditions Offers Discount through March 27

Australia-based Orion Expedition Cruises is offering a 20 percent discount on all voyages now through March 27, including expeditions to the Great Barrier Reef and the sub-Antarctic Island, along with new itineraries showcasing Antarctica’s Ross Sea coast, New Zealand’s fjords and waterfalls, and the culture of Papua New Guinea.

The cruise line’s only vessel, the Orion, is a 53-cabin luxury expedition cruise liner accommodating 106 guests and a crew of 75. Staterooms have ocean views, marble baths with Lanvin toiletries, spa treatments at the Vega Health Spa, and dining by Sydney chef Serge Dansereau in the Constellation Restaurant.

Orion voyages to typically inaccessible, unexplored destinations like Melanesia, Australia’s Kimberley region, and the Antarctic. Orion’s itinerary varies per season to take full advantage of each region’s individual appeals.

The 20 percent discount can be applied to the following itineraries: The six-night Great Barrier Reef sailing departing Nov. 10. Rates start at AUD $4,460 per person (approximately $3,899). With the discount, guests will save approximately $780; The 13-night “Sub-Antarctic Wildlife Adventure Sailing” departing Dec. 1 is priced from AUD$10,630 per person (about $9,298). With discount, guests will save about $1,859; The 18-night “Mawson’s Antarctica-Commonwealth Bay Sailing departing Dec. 27 is priced from about $16,950; with the discount, savings is about $3,390; The 20-night “Scott & Shackleton’s Antarctica-Ross Sea Sailing departs Jan. 14 and is priced from $18,833; with the discount, savings is about $3,766; The 10-night “New Zealand Highlights” departing Feb. 3 is priced from approximately $7,155; savings is about $1,431; The 11-night “New Guinea Islands Adventure Sailing,” departing March 27, is priced at about $7,870; with the discount, guests save approximately $1,574.
