Princess Details Short Western Getaways for 2010-2011

Princess Cruises is offering a variety of short cruises on the West Coast during the spring and fall seasons in 2010-11.

The line is offering 18 sailings, including a seven-day cruise to coastal wine regions with themed onboard presentations, four- and five-day samplers of Alaska and the Pacific Northwest, and shorter sailings of one to three nights.

The seven-night “Wine Country Coastal” will explore the California wine regions of Santa Barbara and the San Francisco area, as well as visit microbreweries in Astoria, Ore. Themed excursions will be available in many ports to enhance the local wine focus.

The cruise aboard Sapphire Princess will depart from Los Angeles on May 7, 2011, sailing to Vancouver with calls at Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Astoria, Seattle and Victoria. During the five-day “California Coastal” to California from Vancouver, the Sapphire Princess will call at Victoria and San Francisco before arriving in Los Angeles. The sailing will depart on Sept. 20, 2010.

The five-day “Alaska Sampler” roundtrip from Vancouver will visit Juneau and Ketchikan. The Coral Princess cruise departs on May 10, 2010. The four-day “Northwest Sampler” on the Royal Princess will sail through the Inside Passage and visit to Vancouver and Victoria.

Sailing roundtrip from Seattle, the voyage will depart May 20, 2010. Three-day “Pacific Coastal” voyages between Los Angeles and Vancouver on Golden Princess will depart on Sept. 26, 2010, and May 11, 2011, while Coral Princess will sail on Sept. 18, 2010.

The “Pacific Coastal” getaways will sail between San Francisco and Vancouver. Coral Princess offers a four-day sailing with calls in Astoria and Victoria on May 19, 2011. For a two-day option, Island Princess offers sailings on Oct. 4, 2010, and May 14, 2011, while Star Princess sails on May 11, 2011.

More “Pacific Coastal” cruises between Vancouver and Seattle will be operated by Sapphire Princess on May 15 and Sept. 19, 2010. Golden Princess will offer departures on Sept. 25, 2010, and May 14, 2011. Royal Princess will cruise on Sept. 13, 2010, and May 18, 2011. And Star Princess will depart on May 13, 2011.
