Puerto Rico to St. Kitts - soon even more Choices

After American Airlines announced new flights to St. Kitts and the addition of Tradewind in Nevis, another airline will be providing daily service to the federation.

Seaborne Airlines will begin a daily service to St. Kitts starting on January 15, 2014, leaving Puerto Rico’s Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, to the RLB International Airport and on to the Vance Amory International Airport.

According to a press release issued this week, minister of tourism Ricky Skerritt has welcomed the new addition. Seaborne will operate a 34-seat Saab aircraft with two pilots, a flight attendant and in-flight service. Seaborne’s schedule is expected to make travel easier for local Puerto Rican visitors or connecting customers from the US.

The flight departs San Juan at 3:25 PM, arriving in St. Kitts at 4:50 PM, departing St. Kitts for Nevis at 5:10 PM, arriving Nevis at 5:30 PM. It departs Nevis the following morning at 7 o clock, arriving St. Kitts at 7:20 AM, departing St. Kitts at 7:50 AM and arriving San Juan at 9 AM.

Rivera Rocafort, Director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company says the new Seaborne routes strengthen Puerto Rico's place as a Caribbean five-star destination, with excellent air access infrastructure and flight options and she is certain the flights from St. Kitts and Nevis will make Puerto Rico even more attractive to residents and visitors of the Caribbean region by providing convenient options that fit their schedule and budget. Nevis’ tourism minister Mark Brantley also welcomed the addition of Seabourne Airlines, saying the San Juan-Nevis link is critical.
