RCCL’s Mariner of the Seas Docks in Miami Again

Royal Caribbean International’s Mariner of the Seas arrived at its new home. Sporting some $120 million in new attractions, restaurants, staterooms, and entertainment, the ship arrived at PortMiami today and will sail four-night weekday and three-night weekend cruises from Miami to The Bahamas.
The line is hoping to appeal to millennials with the shorter itineraries and action-packed offerings. New onboard experiences include Sky Pad, a gravity-defying bungee trampoline augmented with virtual reality.
Also new is The Perfect Storm, a pair of three-story-high racer waterslides called Cyclone and Typhoon. There’s also a new glow-in-the-dark laser tag game called Battle for Planet Z. The line’s signature FlowRider surf simulator will also take center stage.
New food and dining venues include the Bamboo Room, a Polynesian-style venue featuring craft cocktails. Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade features more than 25 TV screens. Jamie’s Italian offers handmade Italian fare by Britain’s Jamie Oliver. While Izumi Hibachi and Sushi offers Asian-inspired dining.
Mariner of the Seas’ first sailing departs Monday, June 25, on a four-night cruise to The Bahamas. The ship’s itineraries will call at Nassau and CocoCay. As of 2019, Mariner will sail to the new Perfect Day at CocoCay, part of the line’s newly-announced collection of private island experiences.
The re-imagination of Mariner of the Seas is part of the $900 million Royal Amplified program taking place over four years.
