Republic Airways Reports Drop in RPMs

Republic Airways Holdings has reported preliminary passenger traffic results for March 2009. The company generated 871.8 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 0.3 percent decrease from the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 3.9 percent.

Block hours were 62,707 in March 2009, a 4.2 percent decrease from March 2008. Load factor was 73.6 percent versus 76.7 percent in March 2008. A total of 1,706,837 passengers were carried during the month, a 1.9 percent increase from the same month last year.
