Republic Airways Traffic Doubles after Buying Two Carriers

Republic Airways Holdings, which last year acquired Frontier Airlines and Midwest Airlines, said that it generated 1.41 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 104 percent increase from the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 88 percent.
The branded operations at Frontier and Midwest generated 835 million RPMs in February 2010, an increase of 8 percent over their combined February 2009 results. Capacity (ASMs) for the branded carriers increased 5 percent to 1.15 billion in February 2010 compared to 1.09 billion in February 2009.
Load factor on the branded operations was 73 percent in February 2010 compared to 71 percent in February 2009. The branded carriers served just under 1 million passengers last month, a 3 percent increase from February 2009.
