RockResorts, Half Moon Part Ways

RockResorts is no longer managing the Half Moon resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The property owners are operating the resort independently.
The owners and RockResorts mutually agreed that based on ownership’s goals for the property and RockResorts’ focus on its mountain resorts that “this is the right direction for both parties,” according to a statement from Vail Resorts, parent of RockResorts.
RockResorts started managing the 398-room Half Moon in December 2010 and reflagged the property as Half Moon, a RockResort on Jan. 1, 2011. The 400-acre beachfront resort in the Rose Hall section of Montego Bay opened in 1954.
