Royal Caribbean to Unveil Oasis on “Good Morning America”

When Royal Caribbean International unveils its new 225,000-ton Oasis of the Seas, ABC’s “Good Morning America” will be there to give viewers a first glimpse of the ship during a special live broadcast. GMA viewers can tune in from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. ET on Nov. 20 to see the world’s largest cruise ship.

Some unique features include Central Park, the first park at sea with nearly 12,000 plants and trees; Boardwalk, a family oriented environment with a hand carved carousel; a zip-wire ride that races diagonally over Boardwalk 90 feet above the deck; 28 multilevel loft suites boasting floor-to-ceiling windows; and the AquaTheater that serves as a pool by day and an oceanfront theater by night.

In addition to the live broadcast, Royal Caribbean and “Good Morning America” are working with ABC affiliate stations in six markets –Hartford, Miami, New York, Orlando, San Francisco and Seattle- to search for people who have done something extraordinary for their community.

Three individuals (plus guests) in each market will win a trip to join GMA for the live broadcast onboard and a pre-inaugural cruise. The ship will sail from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.
