Sandals in Discussions to Acquire Barbados Property

Sandals Resorts International is in discussions with the government of Barbados to build a Beaches Resorts property at the site of former Almond Beach Resort in St. Peter, Barbados, company representatives confirmed.

“While an agreement is yet to be finalized, commitments have been made on both sides and we are thrilled at the possibility of bringing the award-winning Beaches brand to this wonderful country,” Sandals officials said in a statement.

Almond Beach Village closed in April 2012.
