Score Sweet Deals on Caribbean Vacations this Spring

Spring is in the air and so are special travel offers to Caribbean hotels, resorts and destinations. With winter in the rear-view mirror and the peak of the summer travel season only weeks away, travelers will find an array of spring-themed initiatives offering discounted rates and special amenities and services.

For example the Barbados Tourism Authority has extended its “Island Inclusive” promotion, providing credits for use at participating Barbados attractions and restaurants through May 15. Guests who stay a minimum of five nights receive $150 per person (double occupancy); guests who stay seven nights or longer guests will receive $200 per person. Vouchers are distributed to guests upon hotel check-in.

All-inclusive resort operator Breezes Resorts is offering a “Spring Savings Event” at its Breezes Bahamas property, featuring a five-night rate of $1,560 per couple, double occupancy, reflecting a savings of $600 off published rates.

The Grand Lucayan, Bahamas resort’s “Spring Fever” promotion offers rates starting at $125 per night to travelers who book stays by April 15. Guests also receive free meals for children 12 and under, 20 percent off services at the resort’s Senses Spa, 15 percent off golf fees and late check-out.

Divi Resorts’ seven properties across the Caribbean are offering a Spring Sale featuring discounted rates with free stays and dining for children up to age 12.  Travelers must book stays by June 30. Rooms are discounted 30 percent at Aruba’s Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort and Divi Phoenix Beach Resort and Bonaire’s Divi Flamingo Beach; and 20 percent at Barbados’ Divi Heritage and Divi Southwinds; St. Maarten’s Divi Little Bay and Aruba’s Divi Dutch Village.

An unlimited golf package at the resort’s Arthur Hills-designed 18-hole golf course is available to travelers who book stays at Puerto Rico’s El Conquistador Resort, A Waldorf Astoria Resort and Las Casitas Village. The “Unlimited Golf” package includes daily breakfast and golf fees, with nightly rates starting at $229 at the El Conquistador Resort and $299 at Las Casitas Village.

The 6,800-yard par-72 championship course boasts features manicured links set across rolling hills lined with palm trees and the Atlantic Ocean and El Yunque Rainforest as backdrops. Resort guests can also opt for spa treatments at the Waldorf Astoria Spa and water sports on the resort’s 100-acre private island.
