Silversea is rolling out a collection of food and wine theme Mediterranean shore tours, including a tapas workshop at a cooking school in Barcelona, a lesson in making pesto at a restaurant in Genoa and a French pastry class in Cannes. Four Silversea ships, including the new Silver Spirit, will sail throughout the Mediterranean, Adriatic and Black seas from May through October.

Silversea is operating over 50 itineraries of seven to 12 days visiting more than 60 ports. Among the culinary themed excursions are Pesto making at Zeffirino’s in Genoa from a port call in Portofino; French pastry class at L’Oasis in Cannes, a member of Relais & Châteaux; cooking and lunch with Countess Lelia Passi at Palazzo Tiepolo on the Grand Canal in Venice; gourmet lunch and wine at in the Chianti Area from Livorno; a truffle lunch in an Istria farm; and a sweets cooking class in Korcula, Croatia.

As a complement to Silversea’s excursions, the company can assist in making independent tour arrangements. This service is available to guests who have a deposited or fully-paid booking. Payment for confirmed arrangements is made in advance of sailing and includes a service fee.

The Silver Shore Concierge is also aboard ship, where the shore concierge manager and team, together with the destination specialist, are available to assist guests with suggestions, planning and coordination of all independent touring needs.
