Spanish Companies Ready to Meet this Month with Businesspeople in Buenos Aires
Spanish investors from small and midsize companies –most of them linked to the farming, foodstuff industry, manufacturing technology, wood, furniture and travel- will take part in a business powwow between Argentina and Spain scheduled for April 25 and 26 in Buenos Aires.
Caribbean News Digital has learned the Spanish delegation will be headed by Tourism and Trade Secretary Pedro Mejia, and Javier Gomez-Navarro, chairman of the Higher Council of Chambers.
The initiative, organized and sponsored by Argentina’s Foreign Trade and Foreign Affairs ministries, is aimed at fostering entrepreneurial cooperation between Spain and countries from around the world.
Spanish investments in the South American nation have been skidding steadfastly since 2002. After a similar nosedive in 2003, the volume of business operations between the two nations flared up a tad last year, but it wound up putting negative yearend numbers on the board.
