St. Kitts & Nevis Open Doors to Indian Investment
Saint Kitts and Nevis is planning to create conditions for Indian investments in tourism, renewable energy sources, financial services and manufacture. In a visit to India, Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Denzil Douglas, met with some 100 business people and updated them about possibilities of mutual benefit.
According to the Prime Minister’s Communication Office, Douglas said that in view of the economic crisis affecting large and small nations, Saint Kitts and Nevis is seeking partnership with the private sector in Brazil and India, and some 20 investors have expressed their interest to visit these Caribbean islands to forge alliances in the said areas, said the source.
Douglas described as timely and quite successful his visit to India, the second of a Caribbean leader to the Asian nation this year, following that paid in January by the Premier of Trinidad and Tobago, Kamla Persad-Bissessar.
