SuperClubs Earmarks €14.7 million to Build Hotel in Brazil

SuperClubs is about to have its second hotel in Brazil under the Starfish trademark –the Starfish Reserva Imbassai Resort in Costa dos Coqueiros in the state of Bahia, some 41 miles from the city of Salvador. The new lodging is part of a €61.8 million project the Jamaica-based company is making in the South American country.

Besides the Caribbean, Brazil has turned out to be the second-largest expansion ground for SuperClubs Hotels in Latin America. Following the grand opening of the Breezes Costa do Sauipe, the chain decided to keep on putting its smart money on Bahia.

“The northern shoreline of Bahia is rapidly becoming the number-one travel destination in all of Brazil,” said Xavier Veciana, general manager of SuperClubs Hotels in Brazil.

The Imbassai Resort is a hotel and real estate project that embraces 326 acres of land and a strip of beach of 3,280 feet perched between Praia do Forte and Costa do Sauipe. Construction works are scheduled to be complete by 2007.

The resort will have 338 standard suites labeled in Superior and Premium categories, and equipped will all kind of gizmos and gadgets. In addition to that, the establishment will feature five restaurants, half a dozen bars, a fitness center, a spa, a swimming pool with an aqua park and Jacuzzis, 1,000 meters of exclusive beaches, a disco club, trapeze, a baby club, a kids´ club, a teens´ club, an all-purpose sport court and conference halls.
