Boca Chavon Ecomarine and Yatch Club, an ambitious project with a modern tourism apartment complex, villas and a marina along the Chavon River, is now sizzling. Developers have limited the work to groundbreaking operations in compliance with requirements by the Dominican Environmental Protection Ministry (DEPM).
This project is designed for an initial construction of 115 villas, 42 apartments, 35 lots and a marina capable of docking 252 boats along the Chavon River, with an additional expansion phase to complete 398 slips and 260 apartments, plus a 5-star hotel and casino.
This compound, together with the Casa de Campo Marina, will piece together one of the best all-around and most functional tourism zone in the Caribbean and Latin American region, creating new job opportunities for some 3,500 people and an additional 5,500-person workforce during construction.
Investment figures hover around $350 million, backed by renowned Dominican developers and international investors.
