Vueling Came Up with Strong Load Factor in November
Vueling carried 495,860 passengers during November 2007, 74.8 percent more than in the same period last year as the carrier announced. Load factor climbed up to 63.4 percent, 7.3 points above the one registered in November 2006.
Vueling carried a total of 5,684,950 in the year to November, up 80.9 percent from the same period last year. Lastly, load factor for the year to November was 74.1 percent, or 4.9 points above the one registered in 2006.
Load factor improvements in November 2007, in relation to November 2006, has brought about a recovery to a load-factor level which is well-suited to this part of the year. It contributes to soften the effect the competitive environment, and the resulting drop in fares, has caused.
Revenue per flight maximization is Vueling’s top target. In the coming month, the Company will seek to optimize the fares level in order to progress towards the abovementioned target, even though it could cause a minor reduction in load factors.
