Windstar Cruises released its 2010 and winter 2011 season with new itineraries, additional ports and the Signature Collection lineup.

Windstar’s Signature Collection Host Series offers the opportunity to cruise with distinguished hosts, including Fran Bigelow of Fran’s Chocolates; Jay Schuppert of Cuvaison Estate Wines and Eric Dunham of Dunham Cellars; and Narsai David, San Francisco-area restaurateur, author, national radio and television personality.

In fall 2010, after roundtrip sailings from St. Thomas from January through March, the Wind Spirit will begin a new sailing roundtrip out of St. Martin. This new sailing includes some afternoon disembarkations to allow more daylight sailing time and evenings in port.

The sailings will also offer sunset dinners al fresco at its poolside restaurant, Candles. The Wind Surf offers seven-day sailings roundtrip from Barbados and seven-day Costa Rica sailings roundtrip from Puerto Caldera. The Wind Star’s 14- and 15-day cruises feature a transit through the Panama Canal, with ports of call in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.

European cruises include six-, seven- and eight-day itineraries. From summer through early fall, the Wind Star and Wind Spirit return to the Greek Isles. New ports for 2010 and 2011 include Cagliari, Italy; Carloforto, Isola di San Pietro, Italy; Le Lavendou, France; Pylos, Greece; Zakynthos, Greece; Opatija, Croatia; Trogir, Croatia; Bastia, Corsica; Falmouth, Antigua; and Palau, Italy. Windstar’s Connoisseur Collection offers back-to-back itineraries, allowing guests a two-week sailing that rarely repeats a port. Trans-Atlantic sailings also are available.
