WTTC Calls for Further Improvements in South American Tourism

World Travel & Tourism Council president David Scowsill has praised many of the developments that have taken place in Latin America in recent years and called on the region’s tourism leaders to maintain the momentum.

Speaking at the Hotel Opportunities Latin America conference in Miami, Scowsill singled out the aviation developments in the region.

“It is impressive what is happening in South America with the movement towards Open Skies as the headwinds of deregulation, privatization, alliances and consolidation are sweeping through the region’s aviation industry,” he said.
