Aeromexico, Mexico's global airline, announced the operation of its fourth weekly flight between Merida and Miami, as of November 8 this year, reiterating its goal to further increase its domestic and international connectivity.

Phoenix Airways, now in its first month of operations in St Kitts, is encouraging passengers to stand by the airline even as complaints mount about poor service and the airline by its own admission is having difficulties with passenger loads.

LAN Airlines inaugurated 787 Dreamliner service at Miami International Airport (MIA). The LAN 787 will operate daily nonstop flights on the airline’s existing Miami to Santiago, Chile route. LAN was the first airline in the Americas to receive the 787 and is now the first carrier to offer 787 flights from MIA.
