Starting February 11, 2014, Air China will upgrade the airliner on its Beijing - San Francisco route to B777-300ER, an aircraft type very popular among business travelers around the world.

Transaero will operate Boeing 737-300/400/500 aircraft on the mentioned routes. Discount Class tickets will include from 10 to 20 kg free luggage allowance, the amount of luggage allowance will depend on the ticket fare.

Air Europa has launched a new route to Santiago, Chile, via Salvador, Brazil. From the March 31st 2014, the airline will fly three times weekly to this modern city. Air Europa will also increase operations to Salvador, Brazil, from four to five flights per week as of March 27th 2014.

Already experiencing difficulties in getting its Irish Air Operator Certificate (AOC), now the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), which represents nearly 50,000 pilots working for 32 U.S. and Canadian airlines, is urging the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to reject NAI’s application for a foreign air carrier permit.

US Virgin Islands Governor John de Jongh has expressed disappointment with the decision by Seaborne Airlines to relocate its corporate offices from the USVI to San Juan, Puerto Rico. The regional airline announced the move on December 18, which will mean the loss of about 88 jobs on St Croix.
