Global passenger traffic rose by +4.1 percent in December 2010, according to the latest PaxFlash released by Airports Council International (ACI). Global traffic finished at just over +6.2 percent growth for the year, with international traffic at +7.3 percent and domestic at +5.2 percent.

JetBlue Airways, which is due to begin weekly flights between John F. AirTran Airways has announced the continued expansion of its burgeoning Caribbean flight schedule while unveiling its seasonal travel schedule. The Caribbean expansion includes daily service to Aruba and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, from the low-cost carrier’s hub in Atlanta as well as new, nonstop flights from Milwaukee to Cancun, Mexico.
Copa Airlines announced today it will increase daily flight frequencies to several countries beginning June 2011. The airline will begin new service to Toronto, Canada; Porto Alegre, Brazil; and Nassau, Bahamas.
