LIAT, the Caribbean airline is picking the slack in anticipation of the reduction of flights by American Eagle between St Kitts and Puerto Rico. The Antigua-based carrier has announced a direct service to Puerto Rico leaving St Kitts daily at 1:15 pm and arriving in Puerto Rico at 2:25 pm.
Delta Air Lines is raising the fee for checking a second and third bag on domestic flights for all tickets purchased on or after August 5. The airline said it is raising the charge to offset to high fuel prices.
Lufthansa canceled 128 flights on Thursday, including 28 long-haul flights, as a strike by the airline’s technical and catering workers entered its fourth day. The 28 canceled long-hauls include flights to New York, Washington, Atlanta and Calgary.
