Global hospitality company Hakkasan Group is looking to Mexico. The company has partnered with Mexico's Grupo Vidanta.

The property, which is located at 3,500 feet, is set above the city of David in Panama’s Chriqui province.

No plans regarding the future of the three properties have been announced. The 53-unit Beach Suites on Seven Mile Beach will close Sept. 1, according to Embassy Investments.

SPG members will be able to transfer Starpoints into Elevate points at a 1-to-1 ratio, and Elevate members will earn two points.

The impact study also found businesses sent travelers on the road in Mexico for 17.2 million domestic business trips. The business travel industry supports 1.2 million jobs.

Panama tourism industry employs fewer people. The decrease of 3.6 percent was revealed in a recent report by the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic.
