Sunrise Airways, Haiti’s newest homegrown airline, and the Haiti Ministry of Tourism announced that they have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to boost tourism arrivals to Haiti.

Virgin has appointed US-based corporate advisory firm Allen & Co to “oversee development of a cruise operation” that would work to compete with other cruise giants including Royal Caribbean. It is understood that although the brand, which would be named Virgin Cruises, is in the early stages, talks have already been held to raise an estimated $1bn to acquire the first ships.

International Airlines Group has returned to profit as attempts to turn around the struggling Spanish flag-carrier Iberia start to pay dividends. IAG, which also owns British Airways, said it made an operating profit of €770 million before exceptional items in the year to December 31st, compared to a loss of €23 million in 2012.
