Oceania Cruises has announced an order for two new ships from Fincantieri. The ships will be delivered in 2022 and 2025.

???????Following a torrent of criticism from avid cruisers, Carnival Cruise Line this week said it would indefinitely delay a plan to begin charging customers for most items ordered via room service.

Micky Arison, chairman of Carnival Corporation & plc, has been named the incoming chairman of the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA). Arison will also lead the FCCA Executive Committee, consisting of company leaders from the association's member lines.

After talks with the Bahamian government, Royal Caribbean is dropping the warning it had been issuing passengers regarding crimes in Nassau. Instead, a more generic advisory will be printed in the cruise line’s daily newsletter.

Caribbean highlights include the Norwegian Joy and the Norwegian Encore sailing from Miami, as well as the Norwegian Escape's debut in Port Canaveral and the Norwegian Epic's return to San Juan.

Cunard will spend its first full season in Alaska from June through September in 2020 on the newly-refitted Queen Elizabeth.
