Carnival Cruise Line set up a vending machine in New York's Greeley Square Park that dispensed cans filled with the scents of Caribbean destinations.

Tortola Pier Park was a hive of activity earlier as the British Virgin Islands received their first two official cruise ship calls of the season with the visits of the Marella Discovery and Marella Celebration, respectively.

The first day’s Summit Session ‘managing growth, planning for the future’ saw senior government officials and tourism stakeholders then discuss their own growth plans for their destinations.

Captain George Latrou and the crew of Celebrity Silhouette, which was on a 12-day Caribbean cruise, were greeted by Richard Sealy, the Minister of Tourism and International Transport.

Royal Caribbean International will add a second ship that sails a Cuba itinerary, along with two new Cuba destinations, starting in the summer of 2018.

Both ships will receive upgrades in their public areas and the addition of new features, Costa Cruises said.
