Severe surf and wind impacting southern-facing waterfronts including the cruise ship pier in Long Beach played havoc with Carnival Cruise Lines' schedule for Carnival Imagination in southern California on Sunday. It's also doing the same with Carnival Inspiration's schedule today. 

Well this certainly makes packing easier. Sunscreen will be essential but clothing optional on a cruise that sets sail from Port Everglades in November. Up to 3,000 people will float through the Caribbean in their birthday suits for seven nights.

Premier and minister of finance, Dr. Orlando Smith, minister for communications and works, Mark Vanterpool and other dignitaries were on the dock to welcome the Norwegian Getaway cruise ship to the port, as well as award a couple with a dream vacation package.

Small ship specialist AdventureSmith Expeditions said it will offer a series of sailings in Cuba starting in December. The Tahoe City, Calif.-based company will use Panorama, a 49-passenger three-mast schooner, to visit five ports along Cuba’s western and southern shore.

The award-winning Norwegian Epic features a new entertainment line-up for her cruises from her new homeport, debuting throughout 2015. Two new Broadway shows will take to the stage as headliners: Burn the Floor and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert – The Musical, coming in October.

Carnival Cruise Line will reposition the 102,000-ton Carnival Victory on the line’s popular five-port, seven-day southern Caribbean cruise schedule from San Juan beginning in November 2016.
