Crystal Cruises is offering new luxury pre- and post-cruise hotel and land programs with 15 Mediterranean cruise itineraries this summer and fall. Available with Crystal Serenity’s Mediterranean, Black Sea and Canary Islands cruises from June through October, the optional three- to five-night programs depart from Barcelona, Venice and Rome. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. is proud to announce that it has received the first ever “Clean Sea Award.” The award was announced at the Clean Shipping Awards ceremony held during the Nor-Shipping Conference (Oslo, June 9-12), presented in cooperation with Det Norske Veritas (DNV). In total, 60 companies were considered for the various awards and winners were selected by an independent jury.
Princess Cruises has scheduled its Caribbean, Mexico and Panama Canal program for fall 2010 to spring 2011. Six Princess ships will visit more than 25 Caribbean ports on 14 itineraries to the Eastern, Western and Southern Caribbean.
The MSC Splendida will be christened in Barcelona, Spain, on July 12 in a ceremony presided over by the vessel’s godmother, Sophia Loren. Loren previously served as godmother for the MSC Lirica, MSC Opera, MSC Musica, MSC Orchestra, MSC Poesia and MSC Fantasia.
