The Cayman Islands has approved the first cruise call since cruise travel was suspended in March 2020. It will be the Holland America's Nieuw Statendam.

This week, Carnival confirmed that all 22 of its U.S.-based cruise ships will be back in operation by March 2022, a sign of its recovery process.
The German cruise line said that two of its three ships, the Sea Cloud and Sea Cloud II, had been scheduled to sail the Caribbean this winter.
