Once again, Havana is the destination for those who love fine cuisine. This assertion is backed up by the arrival of prestigious figures from international haute cuisine that, along with Cuban gastronomy and tourism professionals, are going to attend the 4th Excelencias Gourmet International Gastronomic Seminar to take place at Meliá Cohiba Hotel, July 16-18.
The maritime gastronomy culture and the world of cruises were tackled by Chef José Melvin Vega, from the Maritime University of Panama, within the framework of Excelencias Gourmet 4th International Gastronomic Seminar, who detailed all the services included in that pleasure adventure that is a sea journey.
The magnificent lecture on the perfect recipe to finely eat, given by Spanish chef Raúl Vaquerizo, a Professor and International Gastronomic Consultant, set the beginning of Excelencias Gourmet 4th International Gastronomic Seminar.
“These four years have given us a different view of Cuban gastronomy”, Mr. José Carlos de Santiago, CEO of the Excelencias Group and Ambassador of the Iberian-American Gastronomy Academy, said during the cutting-ribbon ceremony of Excelencias Gourmet 4th International Gastronomic Seminar at Meliá Cohiba Hotel.

Santiago de Cuba, which is making preps to celebrate its 500th anniversary in 2015, hosted the launch of issue 124 of the Excelencias Group’s flagship magazine in digital format in a ceremony held Sunday within the framework of the Fire Festival in Santiago de Cuba, featuring Suriname as the guest country.
