Young Santiago-born mathematicians promised to be the kings of Cuba once again and they did it. The NAPSTER team, from the Eastern University’s Faculty of Computer Sciences and Mathematics, is going to represent the Caribbean nation at the World Finale of the ACM-ICPC, to take place in Morocco in May 2015.

George Osborne announced that children younger than 12 flying in economy will be exempt from paying air tax from May 1 next year, and under 16s from 2016. It means that a family of four will save up to £142 each time they fly on a direct flight from Britain. It also means that families who have already bought children’s flights departing later than May 1 will be entitled to refunds.
The archipelago’s arrivals were down 2.5 percent year-over-year through the end of August, the biggest decline of any Caribbean destination in that period. The decline is the result of a particularly slow summer season, when arrivals dropped by 8.2 percent.
