The Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB) continued a strong public relations and marketing campaign with a tour of the Mid-Atlantic, as part of aggressive efforts to strengthen the destination's market share in the region.
As part of the visit paid to Havana by Trinidad & Tobago’s tourism minister, Mr. Gerard Hadeed, an intergovernmental agreement on tourism collaboration between the two Caribbean islands was signed this week. Cuba’s tourism minister Manuel Marrero Cruz inked the document on behalf of the Republic of Cuba.

Following on the heels of the strong start of the 2015 winter season, the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI) and the Barbados Hotel & Tourism Association (BHTA) have launched ‘Brilliant Barbados’, a promotion aimed at increasing forward bookings for the softer summer and fall periods.
A record 26.3 million people traveled to the Caribbean last year and spent an unprecedented amount of money. It is the fifth consecutive year that the Caribbean has reported an increase in tourists following an economic crisis that forced resorts to shut down and caused a drop in visitors and spending.
The figure was reported on Saturday, 11 days before a similar number of tourists was announced in 2014, up a staggering double-digit percentage (14 percent) in arrivals for the first quarter of the year, the ministry noted.
