The number of foreign visitors to Colombia grew 12.1 percent in 2014, according to statistics released by the country’s trade ministry. The growth rate increased substantially compared to 2013 when the country registered a 6.1 percent growth in tourism.
The project would include the creation of free recreational facilities for locals and tourists, from play areas to tables with seating to adequate parking to picnic areas. It is being undertaken by the Tourism Enhancement Fund, the National Environment and Planning Agency and the Urban Development Corporation.
