Puerto Rico will expand a cruise ship pier in the historic Old San Juan district to accommodate cruise ships capable of carrying more than 6,000 passengers, the country’s governor announced recently.

Grenada has been added to the lineup of Delta Vacations' Caribbean packages available through MLT Vacations.

The world’s largest tour operator, TUI has credited Jamaica’s London Olympics dominance and the ‘Jamaica House’ impact, for the increase in UK arrivals to the island and the advent of the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner to the Caribbean.

Mazatlan announced the return of the first of three major cruise lines to its port, welcoming more than 1,300 passengers on Holland America's ms Veendam ship. Governor Mario Lopez Valdez of the State of Sinaloa as well as Dr. Frank Cordova, Sinaloa's Secretary of Tourism, greeted passengers at a brand new cruise terminal.

This winter Delta will serve St. Thomas with twice daily flights from Atlanta's Hartfield Jackson International Airport, and add a third Saturday service, representing a total of 15 flights per week from the Atlanta market.
