Haiti’s government sent a tourism mission to the Turks and Caicos Islands last week. Haiti’s delegation included Dieudonne Luma Etienne, director of tourism for the North region, tourism officials Pascale Hillaire and Stephanie Alexandre and Consul Margarette Lemaire, among others.
British Virgin Islands Premier Dr. Orlando Smith will soon embark on a trip to Brazil, he said in an address last week. The purpose of the trip is to “further assert the BVI’s presence in the Brazilian market,” chiefly in the tourism sector. Smith will be joined on the visit by Russell Harrigan, chairman of the Tourist Board and marketing consultant Nerdin St Rose, the latter most recently of the St Lucia Tourist Board.
Distinctive Travel and Tours is now offering tours of Spain, in addition to Germany, Italy and Switzerland. Round trip tours of the regions of Andalusia and Catalonia from Madrid and Barcelona can combine shorter tours to make a longer tour.
The Costa Rica Tourist Board has officially presented Essential Costa Rica, the new country brand that Costa Rica will use to project its image internationally. The decision is part of a bid to attract more tourists and investors to the country, boost exports of home products and in particular technology.
